Although my students love everything in our room, they wish we had more seating options. The purpose of these flexible seating options is to promote student choice and comfort in the classroom. With our current options, students must sit at their desks on a hard chair or on the floor. Providing options allows students some ownership in the classroom and will promote independence. Options such as wobble stools and bean bags will make my students excited to get to work! I also believe that allowing my students to choose where they sit will enhance their focus. More focus means more learning for all and students will be able to do their best thinking and learning. This is a great way to differentiate and accommodate learning styles.
