Students need structure and a space of their own, during whole group instruction. By having their own space, they are able to effectively learn in a group setting. By having a nice large area group rug, students will be able to effectively learn during whole group instruction. We use whole group instruction multiple times throughout the day. Students come to the carpet for guided reading lessons, hands-on math instruction, and various other lessons that are taught. By having a nice place to sit, students will be able to focus, while learning all of the important things that 2nd grade has to offer!
