Flexible seating gives students that feeling of empowerment and liberty when it comes to when and how they learn. Giving kids the options of where to sit and the flexibility of changing positions and location only stimulates their learning. Children need to be able to move! Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. In turn, this burns more calories and increases metabolism. It also helps keep young minds more alert and focused. Different seating options and choices make the student and class feel like a community and most importantly makes learning fun!
