Providing students with choice is empowering! It also helps prevent some undesired behaviors. Many of my students have the wiggles, especially during reading lessons. I have seen these wobbly chairs do wonders in other teaching placements while I was in school. The wobbly chairs will help them concentrate on the task at hand. I have noticed a great improvement in students in the past when they were provided with chairs that allow them to wiggle and wobble! Wobble chairs provide a safe option for those students that have the wiggles. Instead of students tilting traditional chairs or falling on the floor from excessive movement. These students will be able to learn effectively in a safe seating arrangement.
