Math can be a challenging subject for many children. Once students fall behind, it can be difficult to bring them back up to speed. The key to filling the gaps in learning is developing a conceptual understanding of the content. When using manipulatives, students are able to focus on the "why" of math before they learn "how." Once they know why math works, all the other pieces fall into place. By funding this project, you will be giving these students access to skills that will last a lifetime! These hands-on activities are engaging and feel less like work and more like play.
