Classes of 24-27 students, their desks, chairs and book bags sit in 900 square feet rooms at my school. During lab time, my students are always excited, fully engaged and collaborate diligently to complete tasks. Movement is frequent and necessary, as they confer with peers, procure supplies or consult digital resources. Creative seating arrangements keep everyone safe but efficiency and productivity of the inquiry process are limited by this lack of appropriate laboratory space and furniture. My dream is to create one! A few standard laboratory tables placed in the Resource room (where lab materials are currently stored) will transform it into a real-life lab space. I can assure you that your donation will inspire another generation of scientists for the 21st century labor market.
