The students that would be using the whiteboard are students who are classified as SLD,OHI & are Autistic. Not only do our needs vary from student to student, but so do the ages. We serve students from kindergarten to 8th grade. First, our student who is Autistic loves to be on the computer and be up moving around. He is very energetic and loves to learn while he is moving and standing. Secondly, we have 13 students who are classified as SLD or OHI from Kindergarten to Third grade. These students are very sweet. They work their hardest to understand the concepts & be as normal as their classmates. Lastly, the middle school students are a challenge. They become embrassed or defeated knowing they aren't up to par with their fellow classmates. They would rather be in the regular education classroom with their friends, instead of a class the is on a level they understand. We, as teachers, work our best to make our lessons fun and interesting, so that they want to come to class and learn.
