Through the use of these books, in a class novel study, my students will meet colorful, relatable characters while expanding their vocabulary, increasing their comprehension skills and applying the knowledge of concepts presented in the English Language Arts curriculum. These books will provide my students with both literary and real world examples perfect for expanding their hearts & minds. Through a variety of activities, along with the examples presented in these stories, my students will learn about internal conflict, perserverance, and what it means to care for others... lessons that will last a lifetime and extend far beyond the curriculum requirements.
