My students attend a school with lots of parent involvement for the campus. I have amazing students that are lucky enough to be exposed to a lot of different experiences. Just like any student, they want to have a sense of community in their classroom and they want to feel successful in their endeavors. But even with a classroom in a high-income district as a teacher you still have needs for your classroom, and I'm lucky enough where parents are more than willing to take care of the small everyday needs. But the big things like furniture, carpets, and books are left to me. I want to have an inclusive space for them to come every day and feel they can be successful and escape from the everyday pressures they may feel at home.
