With the school supplies list that the students are provided, it doesn't even have crayons for first grade. I have been a substitute and have had many long-term substitute positions. Using, small items such as white boards, I know how important white boards can allow the students to respond and give a teacher an immediate assessment. I would like to have the resources to make this year as magical as I can while still teaching the fundaments of the first grade. The other resources, such as bulletins and materials to hang their work also play a very important role.
