Learning to read and write in Kindergarten are some of the most exciting milestones in a child’s development. We spend a good portion of the day gathered together as a group sharing the love of literature. The children are provided the opportunity to sit in the “authors chair” to read stories from our library, stories they wrote, or a personal journal writing. The special helper of the day may also use this chair as they take on the role of the teacher. With this new comfortable space, our little ones will become empowered to make decisions as they chose what they would like to share with their classmates. All the attention is on the child sharing on author’s chair, and they just love it !
