The materials will be used to foster a love for reading. They will also be used to help students become more passionate and realize there is a science to reading. Our class will be using the motto "Readers are leaders." The clipboards will be used during our whole group, Saxon Phonics time. During that time, we will learn about decoding words and patterns. This will give students the opportunity to sit on the area rug and complete their phonics activities. The stools will also be used for our independent and partner reading area. This will give them an area to sit, discuss, and go on a reading adventure.
