This project will help put quality children's literature in the hands of all of my students. Students will participate in literature circles to read, evaluate and discuss the merits of four Mock Newbery Award nominee titles. These titles will be used in combination with existing district curriculum and allow students to work on a variety of comprehension strategies with current, high quality children's literature. Your donation will provide my students with not only an incredibly, rich reading experience, but also give them the opportunity to participate in the voting process which will help determine this year's most popular Mock Newbery Award book title.
