These books will not only provide engaging read-alouds for our reading time, but they will stock our tiny classroom library and allow students to take a few books home each week to read with their families. I have chosen books that my 5 and 6-year-olds will absolutely love. These books are fun and engaging and through them, I will be able to teach them more than just the standards. I will teach them to fully immerse themselves in a book and ultimately foster a lifelong love of literature. I will teach them that even though we cannot always control outside situations, we can choose to pour our hearts and minds into stories and hopefully learn themes to help us navigate life.

About my class
