Learning in the Resource Specialist Program can sometimes come with a stigma. Students come with a deficit mindset. Most students have struggled throughout their schooling experience and they think that they are not smart. I want to create a warm and comfortable environment that makes students feel wanted, valued and appreciated. Creating a flexible seating classroom will increase student engagement, improve their sense of belonging and allow them to focus on what is truly important: their intellectual, social and emotional growth. I've always tried to instill in my students that they are scholars and leaders! Thank you for your support!
