I would love to give my students the choice of flexible seating by providing the options of back/backless balance ball chairs, and stay-n-play balance balls. Flexible seating gives students a daily choice in their seating arrangement. When the students are given the chance to change their learning environment, they become more open to learn and participate in the class discussions. They become more invested in all of the lessons. The balance balls allow the students to be seated with the added bonus of the freedom to move. This little bit of movement can make a huge difference in their ability to focus.In addition, behavior issues of the past are reduced because the students feel more comfortable in their environment.
