We are a small charter school that caters at their current developmental levels. We build an individualized learning plan that encourages students to meet the content standards in feasible baby steps. Our goal is to work all students towards the common goal of becoming better readers. Also, we are trying to build prior knowledge on most of our students; therefore, I help them gain tools that they are able to store in their educational cabinet. Students are slowly improving, yet I always emphasize that it's more important to have a quality paper than the quantity in the paper. Our parents are extremely involve in the educational development of their students, for they show up to our monthly family nights. During these nights we provide essential tools that they could use at home and further help their children meet the content standards. We are making common core accessible to all students. Most important we have build a positive learning community.
