My students would greatly benefit from LEGO WeDo 2.0 core kits in the classroom. LEGO WeDo 2.0 allows children to think creatively and use LEGOS to build robots and other machines. This set is based upon the latest science standards and was created to enhance students' curiosity and science skills. The curriculum facilitates and supports a clear, easy-to-follow journey through subjects, including: life-, physical-, earth- and space sciences, and engineering. Features projects totaling more than 40 hours of instructional content. By using technology to control the project, this exposes children to coding and engineering skills. The curriculum creates lessons and activities for teachers to use to help guide their instruction. The LEGO WeDo 2.0 kits create a new level of assessment and can incorporate reading and writing along with science. LEGO WeDo 2.0 is the next generation of learning. These kits will help prepare students for the types of jobs that will be in high demand when they get out into the workforce.
