YouthBuild McLean County serves a diverse group of central Illinois students. Disengaged from the learning process due to failing grades, behavioral issues, or unsupportive families, these students slip through the cracks. Our program is a second chance for them to find success in public education. We offer strong student teacher relationships and a unique and engaging curriculum. Despite being identified as "at-risk" these young people refuse to let a label stop them from success. Our students earn a high school diploma or GED, prepare for college, and most admirably give back to their community. They are volunteers, from constructing a community garden to tutoring younger versions of themselves, our young people learn what it means to serve. This group of great students find a way to achieve in the face of adversity.
