My students are AWESOME! In spite of many obstacles they work hard and realize that their education is one way for them to improve their lives. Currently, the school is striving to close the achievement gap by encouraging teachers to be innovative in and out of the classroom. I believe that stimulating student interest about local history, through various types of research and service learning projects, will help our school achieve that goal and help improve U. S. History End of Course exam scores.
