Within the high school, there are many students who strive for success, but the constant requirement for new, updated resources can sometimes make this difficult. As a Title I school, the students often depend on their education to provide a better life for themselves, their families, and their community. The students have expressed much excitement within the process of planning for success after high school. Their College Adviser has met with students over 1,050 times to discuss post-secondary plans during appointments lasting 5 minutes or longer . Also, the students have attended and even volunteered at college fairs, financial aid events, and other occasions to provide information about the college going process. This desire for success is evident as soon as guests enter the front door of the school and pass by the walls filled with college acceptance letters, ACT/SAT test dates, financial aid information, and scholarship opportunities.
