Collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity are essential to engaging students in 21st-Century learning. In our classroom we are constantly mapping our thinking, sharing ideas, creating blueprints to build, sketching to problem solve, documenting discussions, and diagramming prototypes. To enhance these learning processes, the students' learning space needs to be updated. These mobile, room-divider style whiteboards will help provide a learning space in which students can engage in these 21st-Century skills. Donating to this project will allow students to fully engage in the collaborative and creative processes to enhance their learning. One of the main goals of this project is to purchase classroom items that are multi-functional and can be used beyond their intended use. This helps provide students with a learning space that is simple, yet dynamically functional when it is needed. Some of the many uses are listed below: >Students have designated collaboration spaces for each group >Brainstorms, plans, ideas, etc can be left up for bigger projects rather than erased each day >Group work can be moved to different project areas as needed >Whiteboards can be used as room dividers to create different group areas and arrangements >Whiteboards can be arranged to create audio recording booths >Arranged to make backdrops for green screen recordings >Portable presentation and display boards >AND many, many more!!!
