My students are 7th and 8th graders who receive special education services. I teach special education math, science and social studies. My school is located in a lower socioeconomic neighborhood. 98% of the student body receives free or reduced lunch. Most of my students don't have access to computers at home. As their teacher, I feel it is my duty to expose them to various forms of technology. Being computer literate is an absolute necessity in today's world. My students will leave my classroom knowing how to send an email, create and save documents, transfer files, edit photos and videos, and do many other computer-related tasks. I have successfully integrated a classroom website for my students (www.mrcabrera.com) that supports our school curriculum and is designed to appeal to my students. They are excited to work with various forms of technology. Your support is pivotal for their continued academic success.
