This is my second year here at my school. I spent the previous ten years at a large inner-city school where I ran a chess club. Now that I feel more comfortable with how clubs and after school programs work here at my school, I wanted to start a chess club here. I did not expect so many more kids to continue to want to join my chess club throughout the year. We started out with about 10 sets. This worked well in the beginning of the year but as more kids have joined we find that we are in need of more chess sets. I love teaching kids how to play and have fun learning it. However, it is hard to watch some kids lose interest if they have to wait for someone to finish a game. Please help me continue to provide a great place for kids to learn chess and play this awesome game with their friends.
