My students are from inner-city environments. About 90% come from poverty and are on free and reduced lunch. They attend a Title I school, which means their resources at home are severely limited and are below the poverty line. My students are 99% African-American in an inner-city school in South Carolina. My students are enthusiastic and are great kids to know. They get the "short end of the stick" most of the time unfortunately. I am hoping that we can turn their lives around and lead them to better futures!
