Students at our school love to read. Having reading materials at arm's length benefits everyone by promoting smooth transitions, classroom management, and by optimizing time on task during reading. Our school building is well over 100 years old. Our community treasures our school, but the building poses storage challenges for all the classrooms. One strategy some teachers have found successful is using seat sacks to store student's book choices at their seats. This eliminates the need for individual book bins lining the already-crowded book shelves.
