Welcome to Mr. Avi Zellman's Donor's Choose page! I am very excited you are interested in helping support my classroom and school. I currently teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade math to English Language Learners in Oakland. In our class we have over 10 unique languages spoken! Additionally, I have the opportunity to coach 6 other math teachers. While most of my projects will be centered around math resources and classroom necessities, I also strive to prepare and educate my students for their life in high school and beyond through enrichment opportunities. Each year I have the privilege of working with over 450 students who are balancing the challenges of middle school with the anticipation of high school and college. I want to thank you in advance for helping me close the educational achievement gap and encourage you to send me a message if you have any questions or comments.
