The students in my classroom all have varying forms of Autism, but they are all hard working and fun loving kids. Some are higher functioning and receive support in the regular education classroom. While others need more direct support in the Autistic Support room. At our school we try to have the students included in regular education as much as we can. While a lot of the regular education materials are modified to the students current abilities, they still can feel like part of the group, and learn from their peers. We have found that having them with their peers helps them socially both in and out of the classroom.
