With chalkboards becoming scarce, the new norm for visual aids is whiteboards. They are easier to erase, don't cause dust to be airborne, messing with the breathing of students and teachers alike, and they are easier to clean. The dry erase markers and eraser will be beneficial to my students and myself. Calculators will be needed to show the students the difference between rational and irrational numbers. Graph paper will be needed for pre-Algebra and Algebra to graph linear equations and use the paper for assignments. A lot of these students can't afford these items because we don't receive as many funds as other big schools. All of these items will assist me and most importantly, my students, in learning the science of mathematics. Making math fun is one of my goals and most students now need visual aids to assist in their learning.
