Our new middle and high school programs have 20 percussionists. Our school needs keyboard percussion instruments to teach these students how to play more than just snare drum, bass drum and cymbals. Melodic Percussion, like the xylophone, helps teach percussion students music visually and is part of a well rounded percussion (drum) program for any band. This is how we start our young musicians who wish to play drums. They learn to read music, play rhythms, and are able to visually see how the notes are arranged while playing a keyboard percussion instrument. With as many as 7 students at a time sharing a small bell kit, a three octave xylophone will allow two students to share one instrument at a time.
