My students are a group of hard working, caring, loving kids who try their best in everything they do. Our school is a high poverty area in which the majority of our students do not have many books at home. Most of my students come from low socioeconomic families which can limit their exposure to different educational materials. Many families have just enough money to cover their basic needs. These students LOVE to read! They are going through our limited library very quickly. We have been going to the library to try to take out books about their interests. They get very excited and animated when they see new books in our classroom. The kids so badly want to succeed and we as teachers want to give them the best chance to do so. Their imagination is limited through lack of experiences. We need to expand their mind through a wonderful world of books.
