The students I am blessed to teach each day are amazing! They attend a small charter school in Arizona. Despite the area they live in, which is surrounded by failing schools, 50% of 8th graders are at an 11th grade math level. They take a lot of pride in their education. Many guest speakers have come to my class, not sure what to expect at an inner city school. They all leave smiling, saying "Those kids are great!" I agree.
