I am currently investigating more ways to integrate technology into my classroom. My goal is to create a streamlined, collaborative working environment that allows me to quickly and frequently check for student understanding of complex mathematical topics. Though I enjoy my classroom, I want to make it even better! With a classroom iPad, I will be able to formatively assess student learning more quickly and effectively. Purchasing a classroom iPad to use in all of my classes will help me make the curriculum more engaging, as I plan to incorporate fun, innovative, challenging technology-based lessons via applications: Notability, Kahoot, Desmos, Quizlet, etc. An iPad will also help me circulate the room! In other words, I can give lecture while I walk around the room and check student work! Woohoo! If that is not enough, the iPad will also be an effective learning tool for students! During classroom discussions, I can showcase student work with ease. This will help struggling students as well as those who need a little challenge. I hope to make my technology-based classroom a reality! Thank you in advance for supporting my students and my classroom.
