Most of my students need all the motivation to learn as they can get. Many of my 7th graders come from challenging circumstances from a spirited blue-collar valley. Overall, my students arrive at school needing a push in the right direction, lots of encouragement, and effective learning opportunities. Unfortunately, in the underfunded education system today, the only continual push students get is to perform well on standardized tests. Developing a sense of excitement about learning sometimes get diluted or sidetracked. Not by me! These 12 and 13 year olds deserve a chance at school to excel and to get excited about learning. My science budget does not always allow to extra equipment that would help motivate these students to want to learn more, see more, and understand more. That is why DonorsChoose.org can help me and my students.
