Each year our fourth grade students complete a wax museum project. Students begin the research project by reading about an important historical figure and writing a biography report on that person. In addition, students design and create a 3-panel display board about their historical figure. As a culminating activity, students become the characters they research, dressing like Abraham Lincoln or Annie Oakley. By donating to this project, you will give students access to books with a wealth of information that help them complete their research projects. Students have the opportunity to learn about our past, at the same time increasing their fluency and passion for reading!
