These springs scales will be important tools in helping students in experiments with Newton's Laws of motion, friction, momentum, and demonstrating the difference between weight and mass. With the implementation with the new Next Generation Science Standards it is important for students to have more hands on engineering activities. The following activities will be using the spring scales: Overcoming friction Weight and Mass Momentum Newtons Laws of Motion: construct a machine that will toss a tennis ball further than a human. For each of these accurate data is required, and without good spring scales we will not be able to get the required data.

About my class
