My students are very eager to take on reading new books. I believe they are so excited to do this because of the books I read to them and because of the fun and rich books in the classroom library. My school follows the Workshop Model which gives students independence to read what they like and lets them come in at their level. Book shopping day in the classroom library is their favorite day because they can find new books to read and talk about with their reading partner and their book club.
