My students are from an economically depressed rural part of Pennsylvania. Many are unsure of what they are interested in and how what they learn in class relates to their daily lives. I desire to help them make those connections in my classroom. Through inquiry based, hands-on, active lessons, my students become scientists when they walk through the door. The find science fun and interesting and relevant. As they learn more, they ask more questions, seek more answers and dig deeper than they ever thought possible. My students deserve the best education I can give them. I will do everything in my power to make sure they get just that.
