My goal is to control the environment for my students. Making the classroom a relaxing place to complete assignments. Students should feel comfortable in class as well as relaxed. The essential oil diffuser is an item that will make the students feel relaxed with various aromas. The area rug and posters are to make the classroom more inviting, so that students are ready to learn. Posting student work is pivotal to their success. Students need to visually see that work is important to teachers. There are currently no bulletin boards in my room and student work often falls off the wall with just tape. The bulletin board is a visual way to show students their work matters. This influences them to participate more, while taking pride in their work. The walkie talkies with headset is to ensure students do not hear the chatter on the radio in my room. This way students can continue to engage in educational discourse without disruption.
