My culturally diverse students enjoy hands-on, minds-on activities. They are 31 kinesthetic learners, meaning that they learn best with tactile lessons and projects. They also work best when they are able to collaborate with each other. By nature, my robotics class provides the students activities that fulfill their learning style. My classroom is physically set up to encourage active learning and collaboration; however, by implementing more STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) lessons, I realize that I do not have enough equipment to handle student products in a timely fashion. This negatively impacts the learning process.
