Our school is the first school in Illinois to receive the distinction of being a Full Continuum IB World School. We are proud to be authorized in the PYP, MYP, and DP offering an IB education from PK - 12. There are only 25 schools in North America and the Caribbean who hold this distinction. Our high school is one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Chicago (27% white, 28% Hispanic, and 33 % Black, and 7% Asian). Facts: -47% of our students are eligible for free or reduced-priced lunch -11% of our students have Individual Education Programs (IEPs) and receive support in co-taught classrooms as well extra resource time. -Half of our students come from our elementary school and the other half apply from all over the city. Our freshmen in physics have the natural curiosity to delve into various authentic engineering and science problems. Additionally 70% of the honors students are girls.
