I teach science to all 5th grade students at my school. The Next Generation Science Standards have ignited a fire in my students. They enjoy being a scientist and studying phenomena. My classroom is a place where students are allowed to explore new concepts, develop a hypothesis and test that hypothesis. I also incorporate projects that provide hands-on opportunities for my students to demonstrate their knowledge and apply it in a real world application.

About my class
