Having a group of 4th graders with a variety of backgrounds and experiences, it can be a challenge to find the right materials that will reach the most students. Through reading in Book Clubs, I felt this will be the most effective way to reach many, if not all, my students. In Book Club groups, not only will my students have the opportunity to share in the reading of novels with their peers, but they will also share in the experiences of characters who may reflect them, which they might not otherwise get the chance to see on their own!

About my class
