Being that my students have diverse learning styles, I feel new, flexible furniture will help them feel comfortable and ready to learn. As a teacher, I hate sitting in a chair. Imagine how my active learners must feel. My students will be able to rock, kneel, sway, form groups, and be flexible when it comes to learning and collaborating. Having these chairs will allow my students the flexibility to quickly and efficiently form partnerships and small groups. Learning is a social interaction, and these chairs will provide my students the ability to exchange ideas in comfort, safety, and style. This is one step closer to us being able to re-imagine what our classroom could and should be.
