In this digital age, many students come to school familiar with texting and using their thumbs in texting and using tablets rather than a physical keyboard. Some of my students even have disabilities that make typing on a virtual keyboard extremely uncomfortable. We need a class set of easy to connect keyboards so that my students do not lose time connecting to bluetooth or having to type with their thumbs. As I assign writing assignments I see many of my students struggling with their digital work on a touchscreen; some screens are losing their sensitivity and some of my students are even developing mild carpal tunnel syndrome, merely because they are typing on a touchscreen rather than a physical keyboard. We need plug and play physical keyboards for our students to allow them to better focus on their written creations, and less on the discomfort of the touchscreen.
