My students go to a charter public high school of about 700 in southern California. Our school is mixed Hispanic and African-American and considered high poverty. I am the only chemistry teacher at school, and have students with all sorts of interests and aspirations. Many of them are involved in sports or other extracurricular activities. I have some of the hardest working and respectful students alive.
