Active seating and movement in the classroom promote better circulation, improved attention and concentration (and often teacher’s patience!). The students love the opportunity to stay moving more than anyone. The more closely we consider these aspects of brain and body, the more clearly one compelling theme emerges; movement is essential to learning. Movement awakens and activates many of our mental capacities. Movement integrates and anchors new information and experience into our neural networks. This project includes Jellyfish chairs, Hokki stools, exercise balls, sensory discs, and balance boards for flexible seating choice. This furniture will promote movement and will enable students to explore new ways of learning.
