At GSAA I have one large "music room" which serves as a chorus and band rehearsal room and as my teaching space for the music classes in Music Theory, History of Rock & Roll, Orchestration, Arranging and Commercial writing. As of the 2017-18 school year will also have a recording control room and 3 small recording rooms. We will also be able to record from the main music room and the performing arts center. This will allow our program to expand to include two levels of Acoustics/Audio Recording classes. Our program requires music theory before allowing the students to go on into the writing and or audio courses. All the students at GSAA must take 6 credits in the arts along with their other classes in order to graduate. Our schedule allows them the time needed to pursue these arts classes in music, dance, theatre and visual arts.
