My NYC public school students live in a neighborhood that contains NYC low-income housing community and brownstones. Their day-to-day experiences outside of school can be EXTREMELY different. However, they ALL deserve a place to have fun and develop a love of learning. As their teacher, I identify my students as smart, creative individuals, who have the potential to shatter any stereotype to become caring, inquisitive, problem solvers; who one day will model the change they want to see in the world.
