Students will use Chromebooks to collect digital data using USB probes during experiments they have designed themselves! Throughout our biology courses, students are asked to experiment using a variety of tools and techniques. To fully prepare students for college science experiences, they need to be exposed to and practice using modern data collection tools. While we have digital probes, we do not have adequate laptop access to fully implement this form of data collection consistently. We often have to ask our students to bring personal laptops with them to school in order to use our probes. After collecting their data, students will use the Chromebooks to analyze their data, create graphic representations of data and create presentations to share their results with other students.
